This international art fair for works on paper will take place at the Semper Depot (studio building of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna) located in the heart of the city.

The gallery will be showing works by Megumi Fukuda (Hiroshima), Beate Hoffmeister (Berlin), Katrin von Lehmann (Berlin) and Sibylla Weisweiler (rlin). We look forward to welcoming you.

What all artists have in common is that they have been exploring paper as a material in a wide range of ways for several decades.
Since Fukushima in 2011, Megumi Fukuda has been spraying book objects with salt crystals and documenting the changes. Beate Hoffmeister uses precise layering and cutting techniques to produce assemblages of high aesthetic appeal from trivial telephone directories. Katrin von Lehmann folds, layers, and perforates paper. She works at the interface between art and science. She has been realizing projects at scientific institutes for around fifteen years. Sibylla Weisweiler is inspired by pointillism and developed pixelism with small-grid squares. She plays with blurring, which leaves the viewer searching in vain for the right viewing distance. AE
